In July this year,
Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing revealed on paper at least their plans on
making what looks like the most impressive hypercar to date which was
codenamed the AM-RB 001 and, according to a new report
from motoring.com.au, it’s just about 95% complete.
Design director Marek
Reichman says that the AM-RB 001 will employ a naturally aspirated V12
engine with a capacity of somewhere between 6.0 and 7.0 litres, and
will be able to rev all the way to 9,500 r/min. This engine will be mated to a
60 kW KERS boost system and an Xtrac single-clutch sequential
transmission.
With a weight of
around 1,000 kg, Aston Martin’s AM-RB 001 hypercar will top 400 km/h.
Customers are
scheduled to receive their hypercars by the end of 2018.
