VW Varok concept - Ultimate Utility Vehicle |
Created
by French students Valentin Fuchs (responsible for the exterior design) and
Pierre Jovaneaux (responsible for the 3D modeling) while interning at VW.
The
result of their collaboration is a bakkie that can be transformed into a station
wagon, and back again and they believed they have come up with an ultimate utility
vehicle (the Volkswagen Varok Concept).
"The
goal of this project was to imagine how Volkswagen could enter in the
Australian market with a new take on the so called “ute” vehicle (low and powerful
pickup)," said Valentin, adding that he took inspiration from vehicles
such as the Vauxhall Maloo and Volvo V90.
With
the estate like rear in place, designers says the Varok concept could easily
seat five passengers, as well as plenty luggage and a useful load bed becomes
available when the rear compartment is whipped off.
Though
the Varok concept is just a design study, nevertheless it might actually win
interest to take on dual purpose utility vehicle.
